GBC ACTIVATES REMOTE WORK
(Effective: Tuesday, 31st March, 2020)

As of the effective date of this Important Notice, the Government has declared a State of Emergency for Antigua and Barbuda, in response to the COVID-19 global crisis, and has instituted a national curfew effective Saturday, 28th March, 2020 until Saturday, 11th April, 2020.

The unfortunate global statistics of COVID-19 cases are staggering as at the date of this Notice, and in the case of Antigua, there are now several confirmed cases. Given that this deadly virus is now on our shores, and the progressively stringent mitigating measures being instituted by the Government, all necessary precautions must now be taken to prioritize the promotion of health and safety of our staff and all stakeholders of Global Bank of Commerce Ltd.

Consequently, effective Tuesday, 31st March, 2020 our bank operations will temporarily transition into a full remote work schedule, as the Bank’s critical response is to prioritize the safety of its staff and other stakeholders, whilst continuing to provide services to our customers. We shall return to normal office operations on Tuesday, 14th April, 2020, unless otherwise determined by the unpredictable circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We will continue to offer the following services to you our valued customers, during the period of our Remote Work schedule: addressing customer enquiries by telephone, email and internet banking services; processing of Incoming and Outgoing Wire Transfers, Credit Card Payments, UPI Card Loads, and New Account Applications (limited).
Regrettably, the services that will not be delivered during this period are sale of cash, new loan/credit advances, issuance of new Credit Cards, and the issuance of new Prepaid Cards.
