We are managed by an international team of executives with extensive experience in international banking.

Brian Stuart-Young CAMS, Chief Executive Officer Brian Stuart-Young is CEO of Global Bank of Commerce, a position he has held for several years, and has supervised the growth and development of the institution. He manages the Bank’s corporate head office at Global Financial Centre, Friars Hill Road, St. John’s, Antigua. He also has senior executive responsibility for the Bank’s investment Division, GBC Wealth Management Ltd., located at the head-office. His extensive private and public experience includes a current board position with the Caribbean Association of Indigenous Banks (CAIB) and earlier positions as a Director of the Caribbean Association of Industry and Commerce (CAIC), Director of the Eastern Caribbean Investment Promotion Services (ECIPS), Chairman of the Eastern Caribbean States Export Development Agency (ECSEDA), and Director of the founding board of the Centre for Management Development at the University of the West Indies (CMD-UWI). He is a Charter Professional Member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS). He is also a Fulbright Scholar, and was educated in the United Kingdom and the United States, and is a regular contributor to various leading publications on financial services.

Winston St. Agathe, General Manager Winston St. Agathe manages the Bank’s main Branch located at Global Commerce Centre, Old Parham Road, St. John's, Antigua. He supervises the general banking operations and all credit services. He has more than 40 years banking experience managing Barclays Bank branches in the Caribbean, and held senior responsibility for client relationships, credit, commercial and international banking services. He also served as a director of Antigua Commercial Bank.

Thomas Anthony, Manager, GBC Wealth Management Ltd. Thomas Anthony manages the Bank’s division for wealth management services. He is a graduate of City Banking College, London, England and has more than 20 years banking experience. He has focused on investment banking for the past 7 years, including country management positions for the Caribbean Money Market Brokers (CMMB) where he managed investments in debt and equity, government securities and corporate paper. This involved underwriting Government Bonds and offering same-day settlements for fixed income transactions and experience in offering a full range of Fixed Income Products, such as Fixed Income Paper, Caribbean & Latin American Bonds, Money Market Accounts, Index-linked portfolios, Derivatives and Portfolio Management Services. He is accredited to NASD in Series 4, Options Principal, Series 66, General Securities Principal, Series 24, Uniform Investment Advisor/Uniform State Agent, and Series 7, General Securities Representative. He is also certified with the EASTERN CARIBBEAN SECURITIES REGULATORY COMMISSION OECS as a Registered Representative and a Registered Principal.

Kem Warner FICB, Manager, Business Development, Private Banking & Trust Services Kem Warner manages business development, including private banking and trust services. He is a graduate of St. Georges University, Grenada, pursued further professional banking certifications including becoming a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB), a Certified Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He has more than 12 years banking experience, including core-banking operations, SWIFT management, debit card services, compliance, customer service standards and, more recently, has focused on the management trust portfolios and private banking services.

Hyacinth Matthew-Josiah CGA, Finance Manager Hyacinth Matthew-Josiah is a Certified General Accountant (CGA) from the Accountants' Association of Canada, and is a graduate of the University of the West Indies with a BSc degree in Accounting and a recently earned MBA. She has responsibility for the Bank’s finance and accounts division, manages monetary assets and liabilities, and supervises the production of management’s financial statements and its annual audited report. She has more than 15 years professional experience and has held senior positions with chartered accounts, banks and the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.

Erita Griffith CAMS, Manager, AML Compliance Erita Griffith is the Bank's designated Compliance Officer, and manages the risk management program to Know Your Customers and prevent the threat of money laundering and financing of terrorism. She has more than 18 years banking experience including senior administrative positions in managing client accounts and fund transfers. She became a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) in 2003, and is a founding member of the Antigua and Barbuda (Financial Services) Compliance Association, a member of the ACAMS Caribbean Task Force, and has presented to the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF).

Juliene James, Manager, Human Resources and Corporate Administration Juliene James is responsible for the Bank's Human Resources, training, and corporate responsibilities. She has more than 18 years experience with the banking group and provides administrative support to the affiliate companies and the directive of their boards. She assists the Bank's representation with the Antigua and Barbuda Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Employers Federation, and the Hotel and Tourism Association.
